Lumonic 8.0: Traceable dashboards and pdf reports

Andrew Riess

This release covers a lot of ground - dashboards, deliverables, reports, permissions, and two new ways to get data into Lumonic.

Here's what's in it.

Traceable dashboards

Every number in a table or chart can now be traced back to its source. Click into a value and the traceback links directly to the source document. No more wondering where a number came from.

A new report builder

Build reports with a drag and drop interface and batch export them as PDFs. This is designed for recurring deliverables like portfolio reviews and LP reporting - assemble once, re-use on a regular cadence.

Deliverables, expanded

Commentary now shows up in deliverable PDFs. Standard naming for deliverables with templates across your portfolio companies. Snap-to-grid and overall usability have also been improved. Last, deliverable statuses can be exported grouped by deliverable.

Permissions framework

We built a roles and policies framework that introduces read/write access controls. This is the foundation - designed to extend into more granular permissions as the need arises.

Push data into Lumonic from Excel

The new Excel Data Importer lets you write data from Excel directly into the platform. Build custom reusable templates for imports with comprehensive data validation built in.

Public API field data endpoints

Customers can now write data to fields via our Public API - useful for teams with existing pipelines or internal tools that need to feed into Lumonic.
