One year at PitchBook

One year ago, Lumonic joined PitchBook.

The thesis was simple: private capital markets needed real monitoring infrastructure, not patchwork solutions. When we started Lumonic, we asked a multi-billion dollar fund why no one had sold them software for portfolio monitoring. Their response was, "what would software do?" Today, 80% of funds still run this work in spreadsheets.

We released four major product updates, launched AI-powered analytics, and tripled our ARR, headcount, and customer base - all with zero churn. The last number is the one we're most proud of.

The product I'm most excited about right now is what we're calling self-driving data extraction. Drag in a 100-tab financial statement, and our AI agent processes it into a tear sheet, valuation file, or LP report with zero human touch. The goal is simple: cut the time to insight from months to minutes.
